Covid Bar
Tra le tante facce irriconoscibili dell’Italia attaccata dal corona virus ci sono i bar chiusi. Locali che, nello stile di vita proprio del nostro Paese, rappresentano tra le massime espressioni di socialità e di aggregazione. Solitamente luoghi vivaci e piacevolmente rumorosi, colpiscono per il loro stato di sospensione, che non è di abbandono.
Nel periodo di forzata inattività a causa della diffusione del Covid, sono lasciati in ordine e ben custoditi. Vivendo così in perfetta simbiosi con la città vuota e silenziosa.
Questa serie fotografica è stata realizzata nei giorni tra il 16 e il 18 marzo 2020 a Montecatini Terme. Un comune con una grande tradizione alberghiera e di ristorazione, dove la qualità, anche estetica, dei bar è mediamente alta.
Covid Bar
Among the many unrecognizable faces of Italy attacked by the Covid 19 are the many closed bars. Places that represent among the highest expressions of sociality and aggregation, in the lifestyle of the country. Usually lively and pleasantly noisy places, they strike for their state of suspension, which is not a state of abandonment.
During this period of forced inactivity due to the spread of Covid, they are left in order and well kept. Thus living in perfect symbiosis with the empty and silent city and its urban landscape.
This photographic series was taken in the days between 16 and 18 March 2020 in Montecatini Terme. A municipality in the region of Tuscany with a great hotel and restaurant tradition, where the quality, also aesthetic, of the bars is on high average.
